The death toll from the Indonesian earthquake and tsunami has risen to 832

A devastating earthquake measuring .57 on Mafias Richter shook Indonesia on Friday and triggered tsunami waves that reached a height of nearly six meters.

The death toll from Indonesia's earthquake and tsunami has risen to 832 on Sunday, the National Disaster Management Agency said, adding that it believes the affected area is larger than first thought.

The agency also confirmed that a large number of people were on the beach when the tsunami hit it, which caused many drownings and dozens of deaths.
